Palomares

Palomares (Almería), 1966. A town of just over 1000 inhabitants, with hardly any electricity or running water, where the villagers live peacefully off their crops in the countryside. Until 17 January, when two US planes collide in the air and four thermonuclear bombs fall in the area.
One of them is found intact. Two release a huge quantity of radioactive material. And the fourth... nobody knows where the fourth one could have
fallen. In the style of a thriller and using in-depth interviews with direct witnesses and experts in the field, this documentary series chronicles
the 80 days following the accident, the agonising search for the fourth bomb... and the iconic dip taken by the Minister of Information and Tourism,
