Movistar Plus+ succeeds at CANNESERIES with two titles selected for the Official Long Form Competition: ‘Many People Need To Die’ and ‘I Always Sometimes’

Movistar Plus+ Original Series have also been showcased at other major European festivals earlier this year. ‘The Anatomy of a Moment’ competed at Series Mania, while ‘The Center’ and ‘A 100-Million Reward’ were featured at the Berlinale Series Market Selects.

Movistar Plus+ Original Series continue to expand their international footprint, taking center stage at some of Europe’s most prestigious festivals. From Cannes to Lille and Berlin, titles such as ‘Many People Need To Die’ (‘Se tiene que morir mucha gente’), ‘I Always Sometimes’ (‘Yo siempre a veces’), ‘A 100-Million Reward’ (‘Por cien millones’), ‘The Anatomy of a Moment’ (‘Anatomía de un instante’) and ‘The Center’ (‘El Centro’) have been selected for official and competitive sections this season, reinforcing the platform’s position as a benchmark in premium fiction.

CANNESERIES: Two Original Series in Official Long Form Competition

Movistar Plus+ will take part in the upcoming edition of CANNESERIES, held from April 23 to 28, with two original productions selected for the Official Long Form Competition—where only eight series worldwide are chosen: ‘Many People Need to Die’ and ‘I Always Sometimes’.

This double selection in a single edition marks a milestone for the platform, which previously won Best Series and the Special Performance Award with ‘Perfect Life’ by Leticia Dolera. In 2023, ‘The Left-Handed Son’ won Best Short Form Series, and ‘El Inmortal’ was also part of the Official Selection‘I Always Sometimes’ will premiere on Movistar Plus+ on April 23, while ‘Many People Need To Die’ will premiere in May.
