‘El Centro’ receives Special Mention at the Inaugural Studio Babelsberg Production Excellence Award

The original Movistar Plus+ series, produced in collaboration with Fonte Film, has been honoured with a Special Mention by the jury of the Studio Babelsberg Production Excellence Award, in partnership with Berlinale Series Market Selects.

In this first edition of the award, the jury highlighted the series for its “precise pacing, sustained tension, and its fresh, distinctly local approach to the espionage genre”. They praised the production’s ability to craft “high-stakes drama with remarkable confidence”, describing it as gripping, assured, and driven by an exceptional command of suspense.
