Movistar Plus+ closes a coproduction agreement with ARTE France for its original series ‘The New Years’ by Rodrigo Sorogoyen

The European cultural channel joins the production of the new Movistar Plus+ original series ‘The New Years’, guaranteeing its premiere in all the territories where it operates.

Rodrigo Sorogoyen takes on the direction and executive production of ‘The New Years’, a series created by Sara Cano, Paula Fabra and Sorogoyen himself, who are accompanied in direction by Sandra Romero and David Martín de los Santos.

‘The New Years’ portrays the life journey of the couple played by Iria del Río and Francesco Carril over a decade, narrated in 10 episodes around the same moment of the year: New Year’s Eve.

‘The New Years’ is an original series by Movistar Plus+ in collaboration with Caballo Films and coproduced by ARTE France, which will be internationally distributed by Movistar Plus+ International.
