Cobos and which premieres on 27 April on the plataform, will take part in the Short Form

son, the unexpected friendship between two women from very different worlds, and the search for
a second chance.
Rafael Cobos: “It is a privilege to participate in CANNESERIES with my first project as the sole
creator, screenwriter and director. And I am proud that in an international festival of this category I
can present a story that is closely linked to the personality of my city, Seville, talking about identity
and the fact of being different”.
‘The Left-Handed Son’ becomes the fourth Movistar Plus+ original production to compete in
CANNESERIES after ‘Félix’ in 2018, ‘Perfect Life’ (‘Vida perfecta’) in 2019 (Best Series and an
extraordinary award that recognised the leading female trio of Leticia Dolera, Aixa Villagrán and
Celia Freijeiro) and ‘El Inmortal’ in 2022.

Original Music
The original soundtrack for ‘The Left-Handed Son’, for which Rafael Cobos has relied on Julio de la
Rosa and with the collaboration of artists such as Bronquio, Nita, Rocío Márquez and Dalila, adds
another narrative layer to the story and endows the miniseries with a rhythm and a tone that are
in themselves a statement of intent by the author.
Rafael Cobos (Goya Award for Best Original Script for ‘Marshland’ (‘La isla mínima’), Goya Award for
Best Adapted Script for ‘Smoke & Mirrors’ (‘El hombre de las mil caras’) has constructed the creative
and esthetic identity of the miniseries. He has been accompanied by Paco R. Baños (‘The Plague’,
‘La peste’), who directed four out of the six episodes.
