Isabel Peña
Isabel Peña was born in Zaragoza in 1983. She has a degree in Audiovisual Communication from the University of Navarra and in Screenplay from the School of Cinematography and Audiovisual of the Community of Madrid. Her fist work in the film industry, together with Rodrigo Sorogoyen, was Stockholm (2013), which won the Biznaga de Plata award for the best new script at the Málaga Film Festival and the Feroz prize for the best drama film. She also wrote Que Dios nos perdone (2016) with Rodrigo, receiving the Silver Shell award for the best script at the San Sebastián festival, as well as El Reino (2018), which was awarded with seven Goya prizes including best script, and Madre, premiered in Autumn 2019 after passing through Venice. She has collaborated on the second season of La Peste (2019) and she wrote the series Antidisturbios with Rodrigo for Movistar+, winning both the Forqué and the Feroz prizes. Her last works will be premiered during this year: the feature film As Bestas, written with Rodrigo and directed by him, and the series El Apagón, for Movistar+. She is currently developing several projects, among which the feature film El Llanto, directed by Pedro Martín-Calero, which will start shooting at the end of the year.
