Alfonso Blanco
In 2010 Blanco funds Portocabo, where he holds the position of CEO. Responsible for guidelines and assignments, he has positioned the company in 6 years in European copro markets and established an extended network alliance to produce fiction for the global market. During his ample experience he has become one of Spain’s most relevant Executive Producers, having produced fiction for broadcasters such as Disney Italy, RAI, RTP, TV3, TVG and TV Canarias.
His previous position at Voz Audiovisual has giving him the experience of producing more than 300 episodes of prime time television for TVG (Television de Galicia), series like Mareas Vivas, Terra de Miranda, As leis de Celavella, Padre Casares or Matalobos, TV movies like La Rosa de Alejandría and films such as El menor de los males, De Bares and Catalina.
Alfonso also teaches at A Coruña University’s Production and Audiovisual Management Master since 2004.
Alfonso Blanco is a recognised showrunner in Spain and he was recently part of the International Drama Copro Summit at MIPTV 2015, along with other 60 of the most relevant executives in the international panorama. He is also member of The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
