Synopsis
This is the story of a friendship, that of the Iraqi translator Flayeh Al Mayali, and the former head of the CNI in Iraq, Alberto Martínez, assassinated in a terrible ambush in November 2003. That year, the National Intelligence Center lived in Iraq the darkest moment in its history. On October 10, José Antonio Bernal was shot to death outside his home in Baghdad. A few weeks later, on November 29, another eight officers were ambushed in Latifiya. After a violent shootout, seven are killed and only one manages to survive. Flayeh’s gaze will transport us twenty years back to find the answer to many unknowns. The little story of a man who just wants to recover his honor will open the doors to something much bigger, a story that will go beyond the political thriller.
